Osteopathy in Burlington: Whole-Body Care on Walkers Line

The short version: JD Osteopathy in Burlington has been on Walkers Line since 2020, in Alton Village near the Farm Boy plaza at Walkers Line and Dundas. We offer manual osteopathy and a licensed acupuncture service, we look at the whole body to find why pain keeps happening rather than only where it hurts, and street parking out front is free. No referral is needed to book.
Where to find us in Burlington
We are on Walkers Line in Alton Village, close to the Farm Boy plaza with the LCBO at Walkers Line and Dundas Street. Look for the orange JD Osteopathy lawn sign out front, that is the easiest way to spot us. Parking is free along the street. Located just North of Highway 403 and East of Highway 407, our office is not a big franchise multi-disciplinary clinic but small enough that we can give you the attention you deserve. You can find JD Osteopathy in Burlington at 3141 Walkers Line, Burlington, ON L7M 0E1.
Alton Village is large and made up of many smaller communities, and a lot of the people we see here walk to their appointment or live close enough that osteopathy fits into a normally active week. North of us there is farmland and nature, with Mount Nemo in the distance within a short drive. It is a good part of the city, and it is part of why I have worked here since 2020 and never wanted to leave. The community, the people, and the row of local small businesses along Walkers Line make it an easy place to stay.
How we work
Manual osteopathy at JD Osteopathy starts with a simple idea. The painful area is often not the source of the problem. Areas that can move will move, almost to a fault, so the busy, mobile area is usually the one that ends up sore, while a restricted area sits quiet and painless somewhere else. So the assessment looks at the whole structure, not only the spot that hurts. If you want the longer version of how we approach pain and what the hands assess. If you are new to this, what a first osteopathy visit involves walks through a first appointment.
Licensed acupuncture in Burlington
The Burlington location will soon offer a licensed acupuncture service, which the Mississauga clinic does not. If it is something you have used before or have been curious about, it is available here alongside manual osteopathy.
Who we see here
We see all walks of life in Burlington. If there is a pattern, it is people who work from home and people who like to stay active, walking the neighbourhood and moving through their week. Whatever brought you in, the approach is the same. We look for what is driving the pattern and work from there. You can see the areas we commonly work with, from back and neck complaints to hips, knees, and more. We not only see our patients in the office, but around the neighbourhood. It is always nice to see the community supporting small businesses and grateful to be a part of it.
